Belay combo set containing the superb Edlerid Giga Jul belay device and an Edelrid HMS Strike Screw carabiner.
TheĀ Edelrid Giga Jul is a superĀ versatile belay device that offers both aĀ standardĀ tuber device and an assisted brakingĀ device in one.
With an intelligent hybrid design, theĀ Edelrid Giga Jul can either be used in guide mode or assisted guide mode, which offers aĀ brake boost for catching falls. TheĀ assisted braking function can be activated or disabled by swivelling the device round, which is great when you are climbing mixed pitches. The Giga Jul offers the best of both worlds and is ideal for situation-dependent belaying and abseiling, especially in alpine terrain.
What The Rock+Run Team Say
“I recently purchased one and have now used it multiple times. To me, it really does tick all the boxes; easy to use, just like an ATC, so newbies and experienced climbers alike can use it, as well as being light enough for trad routes and being able to use double ropes for multi-pitch and abseils. Fantastic.” – James.
